Sn0wbreeze 1.7 for 4.0 (for Windows) has been released. This release supports iPhone 3GS (old and new bootrom), iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 2G (MC and non-MC models), and iPod touch 3G. Though iPhone 3GS (new bootrom), iPod touch 2G (MC models) and iPod touch 3G will have to be either on 3.1.2 firmware, or will need to have their SHSH blobs saved for iOS 3.1.2 in order to successfully jailbreak these devices on iOS 4. Also the jailbreak for iPhone 3GS (new bootrom), iPod touch 2G (MC models) and iPod touch 3G on iOS 4 will be tethered, which means whenever you turn off your phone, you will need to re-connect it to a computer to be able to turn it back on.

Frash is a port of the Adobe Flash runtime for Android to the iPhone, using a compatibility layer, by comex ( http://twitter.com/comex ). Frash can currently run most Flash programs natively in the MobileSafari browser. Frash currently only runs on the iPad, but support for other devices (3GS+ only due to technical restrictions) is planned, as well as support for iOS 4.
A release is planned for when Frash is stable. Developers are welcome to join the effort at http://github.com/comex/frash - fork it and send a pull request with your patches.
Frash uses a multi-process model similar to Chrome on the desktop, so a crash in the Frash/Flash plugin doesn't take down the browser. You can see this while I'm playing Alien Hominid: the ad above crashed (probably a Frash bug), but Safari stays open just fine, and continues to play other Flash content on the page.
Video and keyboard input are currently not supported. The former will require major reverse engineering of the video decoding frameworks on the iPhone, but the latter should be reasonably easy to implement.
...and if anyone from Adobe reads this: Hosting the libflashplayer.so binary somewhere accessible outside the Android Market would make this a lot easier to distribute :).

Readers report that Apple’s tech support forums originally confirmed that a iOS 4.0.1 software fix addressing the issue would ship early next week (as early as Monday), before the comments were subsequently taken down along with all the other related discussion about the matter.
The fix is expected to address a issue in iOS 4 related to radio frequency calibration of the baseband. Readers who saw the original forum discussions say that the issue is believed to occur when switching frequencies; because the lag is allegedly not calibrated correctly, it results in the device reporting “no service” rather than switching to the frequency with the best signal to noise ratio.

To clarify from the start, this isn’t a release of any sort but rather news on an upcoming release. Although we’ve heard a lot about jailbreaking from several different hackers, Geohot has been rather quiet. This doesn’t mean that he isn’t working on anything. George Hotz (Geohot) has currently been in France for the Nuit Du Hack conference. An event started in 2003 by Hackerz Voice team, and inspired by world famous DEF CON, “Nuit Du Hack” is one of the oldest French underground hacking conferences to date.
During one of the “talks” held during the conference, George gave a presentation in which he discussed the discovery of his newest bootrom exploit, which by the sounds of it, can eventually jailbreak or “pwn” every iPhone and iPod Touch available, including the iPhone 4. It sounds like something that will be usable over and over again for any new iPhone devices that are released in the future. The name he has given to this new project of his is “pwned4life”.
