Sony W890i mobile phone
Technology

In a mobile phone market saturated with gimmickry and cheap design, it is refreshing to find a product that delivers on quality, aesthetics and, importantly, substance.

We’re talking about the Sony W890i Walkman® Phone (released in February), which replaces the popular W880i Walkman® Phone and represents a great option for consumers wanting a quality, all-in-one package that looks great, too.

On the technical side it packs a respectable 2Gb of memory (for up to 1800 songs), a 3.2 megapixel camera (with 3x digital zoom), and includes Walkman 3.0, Sony Ericsson’s portable music player.

It also includes a built-in FM radio, an added feature over the previous model, and TrackID™, a clever little feature which identifies the titles to songs by analyzing bars of recorded music.

It’s ultra-light (78g) and ultra-thin (10mm), so it’ll fit easily in your back pocket, but with its sleek, metallic finish you’ll want to show it off instead.
